Start With the Power Source
A diffuser that stops suddenly may have lost power, so make sure its power connection is secure and, if your model uses a rechargeable battery, charge it according to its instructions before trying again. If it uses a cable or adapter, inspect them for visible damage and try a suitable working power source; stop using any part that looks damaged rather than repeatedly reconnecting it.

Check the Pod and Essential Oil
With a waterless diffuser such as our Aura Glide portable aroma diffuser, a missing, empty, or improperly seated pod can make it seem as though the diffuser has stopped working, even when the issue is simply that you can no longer smell the oil. Turn the unit off before handling the pod, then make sure it is seated as directed and has essential oil; don’t add water to a waterless pod to troubleshoot it.

Consider Where and How You’re Using It
If the diffuser runs but the scent seems to disappear, step away for a few minutes and return: your nose can become accustomed to a familiar aroma, especially during a long drive or in a small space. Strong airflow can also carry the scent away from you, so distinguish “no scent” from “no operation” before deciding whether the diffuser itself has failed.
Check the product’s listed specifications when evaluating consider where and how you’re using it.
Look for Buildup or a Temporary Interruption
Oil residue around a pod or accessible opening may interfere with normal operation, so switch the diffuser off and follow its care instructions for any cleaning rather than pushing a tool into the mechanism. If the unit feels unusually warm, let it cool in a safe place before trying it again; if it stops repeatedly or has a damaged housing, discontinue use.
Decide When to Get Help
After you’ve checked power, the pod, and routine care, a diffuser that still will not turn on—or that starts and stops unexpectedly—may need product-specific troubleshooting. Our team can help you identify the next step if you tell us what happened before it stopped, what you have already tried, and whether the problem is no operation or simply no detectable scent.

FAQ
Why did my diffuser just stop working?
Start by checking its power source and, for a waterless pod diffuser, whether the pod is seated and contains oil. If it still will not operate after routine care and a safe retry, stop using it and contact our team for help.
