How to Tell If Your Aroma Diffuser Is Working

Turn on your diffuser as directed, give the fragrance a little time to reach you, and smell the air nearby before deciding whether it is working. A faint scent across a large or well-ventilated space does not necessarily mean the diffuser has stopped; testing close to the device helps you separate a weak fragrance from no fragrance at all.

If you cannot detect a scent, make sure the pod and essential oil are in place and that the oil has not run out, using the instructions for your diffuser’s setup. If the scent used to be noticeable but has gradually faded, the fragrance source is a more useful first place to look than the device’s exterior.

Waterless models do not rely on a water tank, so the absence of visible mist is not a useful pass-or-fail test for Aura Glide. Instead, compare what happens now with what you normally notice when you switch it on, such as its response to the controls and whether fragrance becomes detectable nearby.

If your diffuser blinks and shuts off, turn it off, check that its components are seated correctly, and follow its instructions for any power or charging steps that apply to your model. If it still shuts off after you have confirmed the setup and power source, stop troubleshooting by repeatedly turning it on and consult the product instructions or contact our team for help.
