The hard bottom was the reason for choosing this, and it’s the part that makes the biggest difference for our lanky greyhound. He takes up a ridiculous amount of space when lying down. With the previous cover, the fabric pulled into a dip and he kept getting up to reposition himself. This Audi dog seat cover gives him a flatter place to rest during trips. His usual travel harness connects through the belt openings without having to pull the cover aside. Adjusting everything took a few attempts, but it was worth doing before our first longer drive. He now spends more time sprawled out and less time trying to arrange those enormous legs. Thanks!
A rainy week finally convinced us to get something better for our Q5. Our Brittany comes home from the walking trail with half the woods attached to her, and brushing her off in the parking lot only accomplishes so much. The waterproof material keeps the damp mess off the seats until we can deal with it at home. Dried dirt wipes away easily, although the little bits of leaves still need vacuuming. What really helps is the coverage near the doors, where she plants her paws before climbing inside. There’s less hovering over her with a towel and telling her to wait. Walks can end with a happy dog instead of an argument about muddy feet.
