Six hours to Grandma’s house usually means somebody drops something before we even reach the highway. Having a place for the tablet, snacks, and water made packing the backseat much easier. Our daughter could see her movie without balancing the screen on her knees the whole time. Her little stuffed bunny went along too, because apparently he also needed his own spot. There were still plenty of bathroom stops, but fewer requests to find things that had disappeared under the seat. This is staying in the car between trips.
